Should you prefer to 'neutralise' the tanning effect of the barrels, you can easily do this by pouring lukewarm water inside the barrel and let it cool down, and then repeat the proceedure again a few times. Like this the oak tannin will be neutralised and will have no effect on the liquors that you would pour inside in future.
Such artisanal and decorative oak wine barrels and casks would beautifully enhance any bar, restaurant or home's atmosphere with a unique traditional feeling.
